Coexistence of Age and Throughput Optimizing Networks: A Spectrum Sharing Game

نویسندگان

چکیده

We investigate the coexistence of an age optimizing network (AON) and a throughput (TON) that share common spectrum band. consider two modes long run coexistence: (a) networks compete with each other for access, causing them to interfere (b) cooperate achieve non-interfering access. To model competition, we define non-cooperative stage game parameterized by average AON at beginning stage, derive its mixed strategy Nash equilibrium (MSNE), analyze evolution over infinitely repeated in which plays MSNE every stage. Cooperation uses coordination device performs coin toss during select must access medium. Networks use grim trigger punishment strategy, reverting playing forever if disobeys device. determine there exists subgame perfect equilibrium, i.e., obey as they find cooperation beneficial. show choose only when consist sufficiently small number nodes, otherwise prefer disobey compete.

Evolutionary non-cooperative spectrum sharing game: long-term coexistence for collocated cognitive radio networks

Collocated cognitive radio networks (CRNs) employ coexistence protocols to share the spectrum when it is not being used by the licensed primary users. These protocols work under the assumption that all spectrum bands provide the same level of quality of service, which is somewhat simplistic because channel conditions as well as the licensee’s usage of allocated channels can vary significantly w...

Auction and Game-Based Spectrum Sharing in Cognitive Radio Networks

One of the main reasons behind the concurrent increase in the demand for and congestion of Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum is the rapid development of radio networks of all kinds in our world, which has defiantly changed the public feeling about radio. Nowadays, almost everybody has a mobile phone and radio stations are literary everywhere. Someone can argue that our world is becoming a radio wor...

Spectrum Sharing Radar: Coexistence via Xampling

This paper presents a spectrum sharing technology enabling interference-free operation of a surveillance radar and communication transmissions over a common spectrum. A cognitive radio receiver senses the spectrum using low sampling and processing rates. The radar is a cognitive system that employs a Xampling-based receiver and transmits in several narrow bands. Our main contribution is the all...

Inter-Operator Spectrum Sharing for Celullar Networks using Game Theory

In this paper, we present a game theoretical framework for DSA (Dynamic Spectrum Access) in cellular networks. We model and analyze the interaction between cellular operators with packet services, in a spectrum sharing context. We present inter-operator DSA algorithms based on game theory. A twoplayers non-zero sum game is formulated, where the operators are the players. We define a utility fun...
